How to come out of Depression????

Depression is a state of unhappiness which controls your mind and body. Depression can be do some failure, some accident, some unfortunate turn of events. What ever may be the reason of your depression, the following tips will help you combat depression. The tips are :

(1) Go to your park next to your house/place of work and play with children. This prima facie looks as a unconventional technique, but believe me it works. Just play cricket, football,etc with children you will forget about your depression. I am saying about playing with children because children have that pure, unadulterated sense of being i.e. no deceit, no double meaning talks, no cynical talk, etc.

(2) Keep yourself busy. Empty mind as we all know is an devil's mind. If you keep busy by doing some work you don't have much time to ponder about your problems.Being a bit of a workalcoholic at this time would do some good.

(3)Read jokes, whatever category of jokes you love. If few jokes can give laughter it is worth trying. Jokes help you to have sometime/transient type of happiness and hence should be followed along with other techniques, and not in isolation.

(4)Get some physical activity. Put on your boots and jog/ run a bit. It gets out some of the repressed need for aggression. Run a mile and feel the difference. (5) Discuss your problems with your soulmate. Everybody has some person who is his/her troubleshooter , it could be your mom, dad, husband, wife,etc.Discussing your problems helps out in venting your negative thoughts and by seeking some advice you are replacing the worry with a possible solution in the mind.
        
(6)Visit your local garden near your home/ office, and give yourself time to look at various types of flowers, plants, trees,etc. Going close to Nature is a mantra for having happiness. Chuck your shoes, and try walking bare foot on the green grass, it generally feels great and soothing. 

(7)  Use positive affirmations. Meaning: write down positive statements about your life. For Example write : I have parents , hence I feel great. The more postive statements you recite or write your overall feeling of sadness will reduce a bit.

I am not saying that you have to hear Mozart.etc , just listen to the kind of music you like to sing along. So even if its Rap,etc it will still work.However, you must try instrumental music which one may like when in bad depression phase.


(9) Remember that every problem has a solution , affirm this statement to yourself a couple of times. It will make you feel immediatley better. Use the following techniques in order to find the answer to your problem:
(a) be open to unconventional ideas.
(b)be willing to discuss ideas with family and friends.


(10) Try meditation. It is trying to centre your focus at one place/ thing. All the worries melt away once you can focus on another issue or inner peace. Try to get some instrumental music to play in the background when you are trying to meditate.

(11) Eat healthy food, don't eat junk food ,etc. You might have noticed that if you eat fresh vegetables after your food is over you still feel active and fresh, whereas if you eat oily food you feel sluggish or lazy.
